Good News! China Nerin has won another National Award for Science and Technology Progress
On June 24, the awarding ceremony for the 2023 National Award for Science and Technology Progress was held in the Great Hall of the People. The project titled "Efficient Conversion, Precise Control, and Intelligent Automation System for Non-ferrous Metallurgy" jointly completed by Central South University, Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, China Nerin Engineering Co., Ltd., etc. was awarded the second prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress. This marks the 11th time that China Nerin has received a National Award for Science and Technology Progress.
The "Efficient Conversion, Precise Control, and Intelligent Automation System for Non-ferrous Metallurgy" aims to achieve precise control of large furnaces in non-ferrous pyrometallurgy, collaborative regulation of multiple reactors in hydrometallurgy, and intelligent coordination of "supply chain-material flow-production chain". The research and development of a series of intelligent and automated systems and devices paves the way for the construction of a smart manufacturing system for non-ferrous metallurgy. China Nerin is primarily responsible for the development and application promotion of the full-process optimization control technology and intelligent automation system for copper smelting. This technology enables collaborative smelting of smelting furnace, converting furnace, and refining furnace, ensuring stable and efficient production of the copper smelting process. It provides critical technical support for smooth operation, stable production, and target achievement in copper smelters. Currently, this technology has been widely applied in a number of large copper smelting enterprises at home and abroad, effectively enhancing the capacity of copper cathode production and total copper recovery rate, reducing copper smelting costs, and creating significant economic benefits and social benefits.
Over the years, China Nerin has achieved remarkable results in various aspects such as open-pit and deep-shaft mining of non-ferrous metal mines, ore processing and leaching, flash smelting, bath smelting, copper electrorefining, copper hydrometallurgy, secondary copper recycling, non-ferrous metallurgical equipment, automation and intelligence of non-ferrous metallurgy processes, gas-based sulfuric acid production, solid waste disposal, and site pollution prevention and control, by combining its profound technical knowledge with engineering practice and technological innovation.
